Just wondering, can you reload your own ammo in New Zealand? What kind, if any, restrictions do you have there?
I like to reload my own ammo for hunting and competition shooting. Do you NZ's have any trouble buying supplies for this hobby?
I have heard you guys have cowboy shooting competitions over there too, just like in the US and other countries.
New Zealand is a place I have been thinking of visiting for a long time, but I'd like to spend more than just a week or two, I'd like to spend a year or so there to visit and see the place, get to know some of the people......
I'm not a hunter, but what do you mean reload your own ammo? Excuse me for sounding like a total noob lol (I'm assuming it's some technical term regarding the ammo itself, not related to reloading a gun lol)
As for supplies, there are gunshops all over the place, as well as many camping and sport stores and the like stocking guns. I doubt you'd have any trouble.
in reloading, I'm referring to buying the components for the type of bullets/shotgun shells you need and build them yourself using a small machine, made for this.
Check out the auction site Trademe.co.nz, everything to do with guns and ammo is on there, if it exists in NZ someone will either be selling or buying it.
