Australia is experiencing a severe downturn in the resource sector. I don't know why anybody would consider they have much chance in that sector, when loads here are losing jobs. Perth and WA has been badly hit by the change of fortune. With empty office space and declining rental prices, in a still 'boom' overpriced city, one can only feel there is far further to fall.

How's Pauline Hansen wanting a law for all newlywed couples to sign a pre nuptial agreement? -sounds like a real nanny starter.

She wants to abolish or at least significantly reduce the role played by the family court. Which can only be a good thing in my opinion.

I still think her proposal is social engineering and Nanny state. What happens if a couple refuse to sign it?- are they prohibited from cohabitation?

What about a couple forced by law to except the cynicism of the state? I guess Aussies except compulsory voting, so might accept that degree of nanny knows best.

Why worry about semantics, when there is next to no possibility one nation will ever be able to design and pass legislation to start with?

Australia IS a nanny state I agree fully with you on that one.

However how is a family court ruling not the cynicism of the state? At least a pre nap is a mutual agreement a couple can make without state interferene.

Fred Dagg the rumour goes is alive and kicking and holding out in Queensland. According to this bloke, that met a bloke that claim to know about such matters, he is living incognito and living a new life. No interest being reminded of former self. Even became an Aussie......
