I'm from the United States, and like to get out before it collapses from it's corrupt government and/or economic turmoil. I would like to go to Australia (Since Australia reminds me of my hometown in Southern California by looking at photos) and possibly join the RAAF (or any other service). I would like some legitimate info of what it takes to join.

Thanks.

Not sure about the Royal Australian Air Force but I know that the Royal Australian Navy is practically begging for people to serve on submarines. The Australian Army is also expanding by several thousand soldiers.

Probably good to read this:

Non-Australian Citizen or Non-Permanent Resident without military experience

Foreign nationals who do not have military experience, the relevant training, or conversion training that is very limited, are not eligible for recruitment via the lateral recruitment program.

And from what I know from a relative that was a liaison with the Australian military for 15 years, that when they mean experience they are talking 10 years or so, not 6 months of training at ITT technical school. Or that you couldn't make the grade in the US military.

If you are not already maintaining F/A-18s in the US Navy or Marines or something similar, forget it.
