My University in the US is giving me the chance to study abroad to New Zealand and Australia. I will be in NZ (Auckland, Wellington, and Hamilton) for three weeks. Then i will make my way to Sydney Australia for a 6 week internship. I am looking for places to visit/ things to do while in each of these cities. Im 22 and love anything that involves adrenaline. Id like to take in as much of the countries as possible. Any input is welcome.

-Ian

You might want to think about heading to Queenstown for the winter festival in June. It's not the cheapest place to get to, but there are plenty of hostels to stay in, lots of young travellers, and lots of activities requiring a surplus of adrenaline.

Yes the poster above me is right. Queenstown and some nearby towns near Queenstown is great for skiing. Sydney is just like any big city in the States and you would find plenty to do. Yet if you in Sydney try to visit the Blue Mountains and that is about 50 miles from Sydney.

I tried sushi at at Japanese resturant in NZ and it the same as I would buy at a Japanese resturant in Australia. The cost of them is similar here to over there.
