After the heat of today dangerous thunderstorms have been predicted for parts of SEQ up to around Ipswich, Logan and Coolangatta.

Hail is predicted so if your car is out in the open it's probably a good idea to move it.

I heard there was a fellow struck by lightening and killed on a Fraser Island beach yesterday- so best to avoid outdoors in such conditions.

Was that the guy who was reeling in a stingray at the time? Poor bloke.

We stood outside and watched the light show for a while then decided it would be a good idea to come indoors. No hail up here and the rain wasn't too bad but the lightning was ferocious.
