Hi guys! I am Giacomo, I came from Italy and in June-July-August (soon I will decide for sure) I will stay in Australia with a whv!
Now I must to decide which is the best city for work/weather/regional job/night life. Some friends told me that Perth is pretty nice but I dont know.. it is very isolated and i cant find a lot of job throught internet but there are less backpackers. That is why i dont know if it is better (for me) going to Perth or Brisbane.

So guys, let me know your opinions! Thanks

PS: sorry for my english, i am trying to improve!

I have never been to Perth, but I can't imagine the two cities been all that different. I suppose the fact that Brisbane is closer to Sydney, Melbourne and Cairns and has the Gold Coast less than one hours train ride away, could work in it's favour. However that really depends on what you are looking for.

Perth has many more Italian immigrants than Brisbane if that is going to a concern.

Should add, you will possibly find the weather in Brisbane's winter to be lovely. Perth has a Mediterranean type climate and gets most of it's rain in June July and August.

Thanks for the answer! I don't want to go in city/places with a lot of italian because I want to meet new people (from other countries) and speak a lot of english
They only difference that i really care is about the work: in which place (Perth vs Brisbane) i can have more possibility? I know that it is hard to have an answer but i wanna listen your advice!

Just curious as to why you're only limiting yourself to those two cities?

I've neither been to Perth or Brisbane, however if I were to choose, I would pick Brisbane. Slightly warmer in the winter than Perth, as someone else mentioned, you're going to be much closer to other cities on the East Coast. Perth is a good 4-5 hours flight away from the East Coast of Australia.

"why i am only limiting myself to those two cities?"

Because throught facebook, internet, friends and blogs seems that Perth and Brisbane offer more opportunity and work than other cities in Australia. That is the only thing

Brisbane.

Perth is an ugly wreck of a city with a terrible climate.
