Hello,

Looking for some tips for an end of year trip to the area and wanted to get some tips - here is some information:

- Travelers are 2 M friends
- Looking to hit at least two cities in Australia and two in NZ
- Nightlife/friendly local women a big +
- Neighborhood suggestions also helpful (which parts to stay in)

So far the thought is:

- Sydney (3 days)
- Melbourne (3 days)
- Queenstown NZ (2 days)
- Auckland OR Wellington (2 days)

Thoughts on changing up any of the above cities with others not mentioned? What areas are best to stay in each of those cities for easy access to nightlife, walkable areas, etc.?

Thanks for the advice

Are you interested in anything besides nightlife?

Perhaps a trip to CAINS instead of Melbourne.

- Queenstown NZ (2 days). This is a long way from Christchurch and really just a tourist town. Might want to give it a miss unless you want to Ski, Parachute, jet boat, etc.
- Auckland OR Wellington (2 days) - Definitely Auckland.

Maybe add a few days in Bali to your trip.

Wild Colonial Girl - walkable fun parts of town, maybe some adventures - we don't need full-on hiking days, but a day or two of interesting adventures would be worthwhile (not into big tourist activities though)

Vacanegro - interesting, Cairns instead of Melbourne?

Can you define adventures? Are you interested in unique landscapes, wildlife, etc?

None of the cities in Aus and NZ are particularly unique or interesting. They're big modern first world anglo saxon style cities. Queenstown is a fun outdoorsy adventure tourist type of town.
