Hello friends from the other side of the globe. So i will go back to Sydney and will spend 6 days in NZ. Which cities should i visit in New Zealand? I am planning on renting a car so if you know any good roads let me know. As for Australia, i've been to both Sydney and Melbourne so, should i visit Adelaide or Camberra?
Thanks fellas
Christchurch to Blenheim to Nelson, down the west coast to Queenstown, down To Invercargill, then back along the south coast to Dunedin then back up to Christchurch. It's about 2000km of driving over 5/6 days, so a good combination of scenery, contrast and towns, without having to do too much driving each day.
Plenty of good trips in the North Island as well, but that would be my pick for a South Island trip.

Well, Adelaide is a larger and more diverse city than Canberra by far, and the latter is also very much the 'constructed' home for federal government institutions. But if you're into the outdoors, museums and galleries Canberra does have a some attraction.

With a little more time the inland lakes in Canterbury could be included.

Thanks for the suggestion i will take a look. Is the South Island more picturesque than the North? Would it be double to do both island but i bit less traveling by car?
Why Adelaide/Canberra? Brisbane/Gold Coast seems more interesting.
I am not much of a beach goer, for me the beaches around Sydney is more than enough for me. I am more of a city guy and both Adelaide and Canberra seems interesting. I would include Perth but it is too far.

If you don't know Brisbane itself actually does not really have any beaches. The city is about 15 km inland, you need to travel about 40 km from the city centre to find a good beach.
The city is surrounded by forested hills, small mountains and rainforests. Which for most living in the inner areas, are actually closer than any beach.
