Hi.

I am interested in moving to the Sunshine Coast (also open to the Gold Coast) but from my research, all the places (like Noosa) that I have checked are more family oriented.

I am looking for a place that is near the beach and has plenty of nature, a nice community and is safe. I don't want to live in a huge city with a million people but I also don't want to live somewhere where there are 6000 people and the majority are the elderly (this is where I live now).

Noosa seemed like the perfect place from all that I have seen but as a twenty-something woman that is single and wants to meet someone and not have a family yet, which places on the Sunshine Coast would you recommend?

I would greatly appreciate your help,

Thank you.

Why not just do what most twenty something do in your situation? That being 'grab' a back pack and just hit the road, looking out for places that personally suit your requirements to a longer stay.

Why stay longer in a specific place when so much to discover? Noosa is fine but expensive. If you want to 'meet someone' few easier ways than travelling. The East Coast of Australia is laden with 'if it's men your seeking' from all over the world. Not a few Aussies on the ground as well.

Contrary to most twenty-something I do not like to travel.

I don't mind expensive, I can afford it.

Have you looked at Cairns? A regional capital will likely be better than either the Sunshine Coast or Gold Coast if you want a balance between beach and not just plain touristy.

Not just the expense but more the experience. There are flash packers as well you know? If really want to 'just park' somewhere Byron Bay perhaps. Otherwise Noosa probably as good as anywhere on the coast.

Noosa is expensive and there not a great choice of shops around, as well as lack of bars. I been there a few times and after spending more than 2 days I was struggling with what to do next. I did not experience that while I was on the Gold Coast.

Gold coast would be better for your demographic. There seems a lot more do there, and much more active nightlife than the Sunshine Coast.

Yes, I was looking into that possibility too for the past few days. Gold Coast seems really interesting.
