I have been to NSW, QLD, NT and VIC. My favourite was QLD by far. Stunning beaches, rainforests and coral reefs. The Whitsunday Islands were so beautiful that it was like I was dreaming.

Australia is rather parochial. I expect most would vote for the state they inhabit. every state has a little something, but nothing has the complete full deal.

Not really - I am not from Tasmania yet I'd vote for it as being the most beautiful by far.

Always some that go against the trend. Saying that, I guess QLD and Tasmania would usually be the pick.
Never been to Tasmania, but hear it is expensive and a sort of South Island (NZ) Lite.

Same here - from Vic living in NSW, but don't consider either the most beautiful state by a long way. I'd pick either Tas, Qld or the NT. They're each very difference from each other, so I wouldn't single one out as the 'best'.

Well unlike USA, not over burdened by choice, six states and two territories vs. fifty states and additional territories.

At least it makes picking a favourite not too over taxing.
