Lebanese and Australia.
G'day People.
I'm an Australian born from Melbourne, but background is half Moroccan and half Spanish. I'm a Muslim, because of that i get misunderstood to be a Lebanese guy.
From my experience and as a Teenager who has been to over 30 country's, as well as having Lebanese friend in the past, My opinion is there are good and bad of the Lebanese community. But they are giving Islam and Arabs a pretty bad name here in Melbourne. But that's just my opinion.
As an Australian who most likely either lives in Sydney or Melbourne, What do you think of them?
[This was not started for Flaming, its just an honest opinion i want]

I've met good and bad Lebanese people like anyone in my time Melbourne and Sydney.

I met a taxi driver from Pakistan in Melbourne, he drove me and I can say that my whole experience with a taxi driver can't match this Pakistani's rudeness. He was wearing this typical muslim clothes with long beard, and when I opened the door to ask him "how much would it cost to go to xxxx roughly?" He screamed out and told me to show him the money I have, after my friend did (and because I see no other taxis around), he drove and start cursing the whites (I'm an Asian btw) saying that 99% of the women are "sluts" (<--this was the word he used) and many more curses about the people and the city. Then, he started preaching all the way till we got there. Not a good experience, not at all...
How would people think about muslims if there are people like the guy I mentioned, killings and terrorism abroad done in the name of God?

How do they give Islam a bad name? Their behaviour has nothing to do with Islam. I can also recognise that the macho behaviour of young Lebanese men is actually found among Mediterranean Christians too. Actually a lot of Lebanese are Christian.

They shouldn't think anything of it...because it's silly to judge a group based on one person. Should we have a negative opinion of all Americans because of the sickening images of a smiling private Lynndie England pointing at naked Iraqis.

Yes I believe the majority or at least a very sizable percentage of Lebanese Australians are actually Christian. |

I'm just saying that as an Asian (who has no quarrel between him and the whites), I am pretty much neutral and still I feel that it is very wrong for him to do so. I'm not judging the whole group based on one person (I have quite a number of nice guys and girls who are muslims. I'm just saying that this guy gave the whole group a bad name... |

Yeah I met this white aussie guy in a small town in England at a cricket club one night. He was a dead set d.... head. Loud. Obnoxioius. W...ker. Did he give all Aussies a bad name? No he was just one jerk. |
