Have you done any research on MBA programmes in Oz?
kernel (1) | The Good Universities Guide
The best programmes are Melbourne and Sydney/UNSW joint MBA - AGSM. These have global reputations and would compare favourably with US programmes.
Right below that would be: Monash, Macquarie, Adelaide, Western Australia, Queensland.
Surprisingly ANU's business school is okay but does not have a 5 star rating in the Good Uni Guide -- but they are excellent in many other fields. Generally ANU is regarded as the best Uni in Oz.
I was happy with my programme at Adelaide. We had students from all over the world in my incoming batch, we had lecturers from the US, Europe and NZ, and for the most part the courses were interesting. There were a few that were less so but you will find this at any B school. They offered the degree in Singapore and in summer we had Singaporeans in half my courses. They also had exchange agreements with reputable schools such as NUS in Singapore, etc. We had exchange students from the Helsinki School of Economics (very good school).
Monash offers their degree in Malaysia and Vietnam (I'm pretty sure). Western Australia offers theirs in Singapore and Manila. Adelaide offers theirs in Singapore and is closing their Hong Kong programme but I believe that might be changing. So a good opportunity for you to take part of your coursework in SE Asia if that interests you.
The MBA degree down under is pretty much a general MBA degree, if you want a concentration in say finance, there are specific Masters programmes in Finance.
It should be recognized, one guy in my class is going for his PhD at Case Western, another is going to Cambridge. So at least from an academic standpoint their degrees are recognized.

How well known are they in the international world, particularly the business school/mba programs?
Reason being is I'd like to migrate to Australia for business school after finishing up my MS in civil engineering, but I'm worried that the schools reputation are not on par with top tier US mba programs.
