I thought it would be fun to start a thread on funny (or kind of funny) headlines we find in Ozzie or Kiwi newspapers (online or print). So if you find something funny post it here.

Here's a start:

Aussies in Bangkok told to stay inside

UPDATE: Mark Dodd | 5:01pm AUSTRALIANS in Bangkok have been warned to stay indoors amid safety fears after simmering political tensions boiled over in capital.

Why is this funny? Duh state the obvious. When there is a riot do you tell citizens to run outside and prance amidst burning buses and angry protestors? No sireee bob.

Okay this one may not be funny, but its kind of ironic..

Haha...that is...not really funny, to tell the truth. Some people are probably unintelligent enough to join in the fun.

These days some people would need to be told this very basic, elementary, common-sense instruction, in very specific detail. Not that they'd necessarily listen. Instead venturing out to maybe try and get some cool video for a Today Tonight interview in hopes of becoming all famous. And maybe get hurt or killed in the process. Which would be the Australian govt's fault for not going into greater detail about exactly what, how, why and where the danger was, exactly.

Kinda like that French bunch who went yachting off Somalia who were warned to stay away from the Gulf of Aden. Apparently this warning wasn't specific enough. And neither were the countless reports of piracy enough to warn them away either. So I'm sure it's the French govt's fault.
