That day reached 41C - very hot, humid, uncomfortable and horrendous. Brisbane is just gross during the summers. Most nights do not drop below 20C - horrible.
I had to go for a nap one arvo because the heat knocked the stuffing out of me, slept for two hours and when I woke up, the pillow was totally drenched in sweat. I was so happy to get back to cool Sydney!

I think it's cold when the nights drop below 20c - I've been using an electric blanket the last 3 nights. Just shows how different people have different tolerance for temperature, have you ever been up here during winter?

Its all about adaptation, I spent the whole Northern winter in Korea, the temps were negative almost constantly for two months . Yet here I am in Brisbane rugged up almost as much as i was in Seoul, and its 20 above. My daughter has a cold as well, not much fun looking after a sick baby

You didn't try to improve the house during your time there?

It was a modern house so there wasn't much more we could do to upgrade it. The mortgage was already crippling us, houses where we lived were officially "severely unaffordable."

I prefer summer minimum temps around 10C - makes for more easier sleeping conditions - and yes, I have been up there during countless winter periods.

Awful really. Even brushing my teeth, I was dripping bucketfuls of sweats here and there - yuk! I absolutely hated it. The bathroom felt like a permanent furnace too. Brisbane can keep it's hot and humid weather, I do not want to experience such horrible conditions ever again!
