Any game where you mainly hold the ball in your hands is not "Foot ball" hence....... "foot"......."ball" see what I did with that?. The only real foot ball is soccer :P

Have to say Aussie rules has to be the Gayist(is that a word) looking game I have ever seen. Bunch of pansies jumping around in spandex and all they have to do is kick a ball between a few sticks. Luckily the game has been dumbed down by added more sticks, is it possible to miss?

Not sure if its as bad as American Gridiron where you run 5 feet in full body armour then stand around talking about it for 30 minutes. But dunno its a close contest!

^^ I saw a rugby game on TV and it resembled American football, but the game-play hardly ever stopped. Instead it would pause a few seconds when the ball is down, and then this player would chuck the ball to another teammate and the game would keep going.

American football's pace is more like chess.

That was back in the old days. Most of the "cazaly" footage is from the 60's and 70's, when cigarette advertising was allowed at games.

Those two ignoramuses can keep their pommie sports . Aussie rules is the best sport in the world. Nothing beats it for excitement.

Soccer is a bunch of ******* (they act like they're dying when they take a fall!) kicking around a ball. They might as well be kicking around a can. AFL is a sport which requires far more courage than kicking a ball on the ground, which is why the real action in a soccer game occurs in the stands.

Does Australia import a lot of American cigarettes?

It seems most tobacco sold in Canada is grown and processed in Canada,
actually most of it grown not far from where I live; 1.5-2 hrs southwest of here.

I really couldn't believe it when they had it in the paper that the Australian Football league is the 3rd largest Football competition in the World (Average Attendances). It is predicted by current growth estimates to be No 2 in 2020 . Currently it is American Football Competition No 1, Germany's Football Competition No 2, then its the AFL. Its amazing really when you consider how small the country is. Plus the fact that 2 of the 3 largest Australian states don't really play it (Rugby League). Just goes to show how much the AFL is an insane Religion in places like Victoria.
