I don't mind it, although I've only seen the footage, without sound ...
Some people have panned it, although we aren't marketing Australia to ourselves ... and it can't be more of a miss-hit than the "where the bloody hell are ya" campaign....
I like it. Cute and catchy tune but the main thing was all the great scenes of Oz - that's what the emphasis should be on: what you can see when you come here. I know that's what it is for me. I watched an online ad of Utah tourism and when I saw those images I knew I absolutely had to go there.
Turn on the sound, Ozgal - and listen to the part with the koala. I thought that was cute.
I found the Where the Bloody Hell Are Ya? ads beligerent and arrogant.
You're never going to please everyone I suppose. On our news tonight someone dismissed the ad, saying it made us sound like bogans Proof the ad did a good job then, I reckon!

The Blue Mountains scenes were awesome. Probably my favourite spot in Oz.
There's another thing on this site called www.nothinglikeaustralia.com that gives you a map and you double click on areas and there's postcards showing scenes and brief descriptions of people's experiences there. I think this is excellent.
From the adverts and the web site, it looks like they are targeting domestic tourism?
Is it just me who thought that?
