As for Toyota, once a driver goes to Toy in Cup, I'm done with them. Bye Michael...Bye Martin... Oh, and I don't plan to ever buy a Toy. Felt that way even before they soiled Nascar with their presence. Never cared for the brand; never will.

The only place for a toyota in nascar is in the wall.

Sounds like you've watched 'Days of Thunder' one too many times.

AGREE!!! I bet there are some out there who wouldn't mind seeing Kia or Benz come into NASCAR.

But a funny little thing is the only time they gain in performance is when rule get modified to a gimmie for them or they hire AMERICAN engine guys. Brag on the import junk companies all you want, but they are not better.

So much for the American spirit.
BTW, anyone notice how much better Roush racing is performing without him in the shop?
I quoted myself for you reference. And to your point; valve angles, port angles, combustion chamber CC adjustments are nothing new to the sport. In the past Nascar frequently adjusted the specs for the "squeaky wheel"

As much as I don't like "foreign " cars in Nascar you are so wrong about the ingenuity and the willingness of the Japs to spend what is necessary to win.
As for Japaneses cars being junk they are the only manufacturer who does not use "foreign" parts in their street vehicles. All the parts are made in Japan. Can't say that for American made autos. I delivered parts for a GMC dealer for two years and 50% of the GM parts were made in China, Taiwan, Mexico, France, Israel. Virtually all the electronic parts in GM cars come from the far East.

I am old school and I like the pushrod V-8's but just like the FE Fords and Big Block GM's the newer stuff is smaller but faster.
I hope Nascar switches to the OHC V-8's one of these days so that at least the engines might resemble stock engines.

Don't tell them that they like to think all this stuff is new news.

Although I do watch Spring Cup, do not closely follow Nationwide or Trucks. With that qualification I have to ask, is the dominance of the Toyota's in those series really a byproduct of Toyota's investment, or the fact that drivers like Kyle Busch are just so much farther ahead of the rest of the field as far as talent goes that he is bound to be running at the front of the field regardless of the car.

I think it is only natural to expect a top Spring Cub star to be able to run in front of most of the field in Nationwide and Trucks, since they are the top talents in the sport and in general have far more experience (aside from a few older drivers hanging on in the lower series).

I am not sure it would matter what manufacter is on the hood.

Ingenuity? What has the *** cars shown in ingenuity? What were they the first on that had not already been in US made or german made vehicles? Nothing! The only thing the *** cars ever done was copy what someone else already had. Sure they may have put more thought into trying to make it better, but they certainly have not come up with ANYTHING never before used in a car or truck. Coping/modifing what already exist is not ingenuity. As for the *** cars making all their parts in japan, I wish congress had ot run off our manufacturing with the treason trade deals they've made. We should demand all car parts be made here. It's like I told the former congressman whose office I got thrown out from over his treason trade voting, ; I've been invited to far better places. But with the unConstitutional epa agency "rules" , most of what it takes to make anything is an epa crime. So our parts get made in other countries. I don't approve it either. But that does not justify buying a *** car either nor does it justify allowing toyota to have better valve angles in their race heads than what gm or ford or mopar gets. 2 degrees is 30hp or more.
