NASCAR is looking at ways to make racing more exciting again and there are talks in place of reviving the long standing pony car feud between the hot-selling Camaro and Mustang.

The Mustang and Dodge Challenger were already a big hit in the Nationwide series and NASCAR want's to bring that excitement to the Sprint Cup and add the Camaro. No date has been determined yet. The sooner the better I say.

I think it's a good idea but I would also like to see NASCAR phase in the production based engines. Ford has had good success with the 4 cam engine in the road racing circuits. GM has OHC engines that can be used in the Camaro's.
I'm not advocating strictly stock engines but at least something that Fans can relate to somewhat.

as long as nascar gets away from fake bodies, and silhouette cars, i will be happy. they also need to limit the aero devices allowed.

Yawn, paint scheme verses paint scheme? Go back to what made NASCAR famous, put real cars back on the track with massaged engines...

Sounds nice. I mean why not have sports car bodies out there racing. But what will Toyota bring to the track?? Cant think of any sport car in their line up.

Compared to other racing series aero devices are pretty limited.

really? you think that a 5.5" tall spoiler is limited? especially when it stands up at a 70 degree angle? as for the front, it is no longer a spoiler, but an air dam with a splitter that is huge. in the old days, up till the early 80s, the rear deck spoiler was no taller than 2", and the front spoiler was 3" and only ran 1/2 the width of the car.

If they do they risk ending NASCAR has it is. There have already been series that tried to do this and they failed to gather a following.
