nascar is performance based , why would hendrick or any owner hold some one hostage if they were not happy and not performing.......if he wanted out Hendrick would want him out, obviously he doesn't and is happy to see what him and Gustafson can do together. I just don't see Gordon having that much clout anymore. If this were the early 00's...yeah. There is only one Hendrick driver with that much pull.

Im glad Steve is of Gordon box now. He just didnt have the right stuff to keep Jeff motivated or didnt really know who to get track position for the man. His stats of recent have been dippin lower and lower.

Before this switch I thought they should have put Gustafson with Jr, but it sounds like Hendrick, looked at the whole picture and really tried to match personalities, should be interesting.
