But I also like Michael Waltrip on Showtime. He's always good for a laugh.
I think Mikey has the potential to be a decent color commentator but right now he's too self-aggrandizing and he tries WAY too hard to be funny. 90% of his jokes are just plain cornball and stupid.
OK, As a woman I reserve the right to once again change my mind--if anyone should announce it should be Mike Joy--he is a real person and Barney Hall on the radio.

You took the words out of my mouth! I think Dale Jarrett classes up the booth too. He is insightful, but not full of himself like a certain blowhard on Fox (boogity!).
We've liked Allen Bestwick since back when he hosted Inside Winston Cup, with Johnny Benson, Kenny Schrader and Mikey. I've read that Johnny and Kenny will be appearing on NASCAR Now with Bestwick on Mondays following the races.
Ricky Craven has been doing a good job as an analyst for ESPN. Also agree with you who like Mike Joy and Krista Voda.
Kenny Wallace, until my side is hurting so bad from laughing it gets sore for 3 days time! He M C'ed the Lakehill reunion in Valley Park, Missouri, I don't think anyone was not nearly in tears from laughing so much! He in my opinion should be in the booth so the tv and radio veiwers/listeners would never be bored!
