It was great seeing the Wood Brothers back in Victory Lane again, congratulations to Trevor and the Wood Brothers!

Knoxville, of "Thunder Road" fame, didn't have a hero to call their own in Nascar racing up to today. As you can all imagine, we are incredibly proud of one of our own. I posted this on our local forum but it has a great locally-written piece about the win and a video of Bayne when he was 13 - seven short years ago - and racing go-karts. It's well-worth the look.

I didn't know much about Trevor until the Duals when Jeff Gordon, the four time champ, decided to hook up with this unknown rookie and stay with him the entire race. Obviously Jeff saw something in this kid and it got me excited.

While watching the 500 and saw how this kid was pushing everyone, I had hoped he would have a good finish. Then when Jeff then Jr. got knocked out, I focused on the 21 car. It was great to see him put the block on the 99 to win the race.

This is every young drivers dream come true. Can you imagine the feelings that he is going through!

The 21 was supposed to be a "part-time" team this year, I expect that to change now!

I really enjoyed watching this video--thanks for sharing. This boy Trevor Bayne may be the one thing NASCAR needed.

Trever did a great job as a pusher and unlike some others he did not favor any body. Whoever he got behind no matter what brand he was able to push them to the front. I noticed a few drivers chose not to hook up with him and quickly left him "hanging" so they could hook up with their team mates. As it turned out those guys did not fair as well as Trevor.

Was good to see Jeff Gordon in Victory Lane congratulating Trevor along with the other Ford drivers. Didn't see who the other drivers were that come to Victory Lane but I am sure a lot did.

I didn't realize it, but looks like Trevor must be going for the points in only the NWS. He received zero points for his win yesterday.

Carl is on top with 42 points.

Yesterday a NASCAR official said he could change and elect to run for Cup points but he would not get any points for his 500 Win. He has a decision to make.

Wow, that will be interesting. Woods probably didn't have enough $$$ at first to put on a full season in the Sprint Cup...but things have changed now.

If Trevor does change and go for the points in Sprint, it would not be hard for him to make the Chase, seeing a lot of last years Chase drivers are in the hole.

Jimmie Johnson finished 38 in last years 500.

Jeff Gordon, Stewart and Kurt Busch all were in the 20 and below range in the 500 last year and still made the Chase. Ryan Newman finished 34 in the 500 and just missed the Chase.
