Ecclestone 'making a mockery of the pinnacle of the sport' - Yahoo! Eurosport (http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/03032011/23/ecclestone-making-mockery-pinnacle-sport.html - broken link) Does anyone else think it is time for 'ol Bernie to find a good retirement home? Artificial rain....YGTBSM.

While I'm not fond of the artificial rain idea I wouldn't mind seeing the tracks made a bit bumpier and perhaps paved with a lower grip compund in order to negate some of the aero billiard table smooth tracks allow and put more pressure on drivers to exhibit car control rather than systems management techniques.

Just about everytime something's done to slow the cars the engineers find a way to go faster, doing it to the track instead would be a little more difficult for the engineers to circumvent.
F1 has always been wit it formula as sport destined to be about the cars themsleves more than the arcig. The actaul steps to make the field more competitive have failed as always. About the only thng that relly has been done is to slow the cars themselves down to safer levels thru the years. It at some pint will suffer badly has the technolgy level gets too expensive for more tha one top team insteqd of two a year. Its alredy tot eh poit hat many drivers are already only rcig because of the moeny they bring with them.It real hayday in modern times where after WWII theu the late 60's in racing but alos the most dangerous.

Pardon me asking but do you have spell check? It hurts my brain to read this.
bernie ecclestone is the biggest reason i dont watch formula one racing. he needs to retire from the sport, and the person that takes over needs to make formula one more competitive.

It's very competetive, unfortunately the bulk of the competition takes place in the wind tunnels and engine test-cells.
