I know sometimes fuel mileage does come into play in NASCAR but two weeks in a row is enough.

Just about every driver has backed into a win with great fuel mileage but that's not what most fans want to see from their favorite.

I hope it does not become the norm for cars that are not fast enough to run up front to suddenly decide to start stretching mileage and see if maybe they can steal a win.

That's all I got to say.

I have to agree here. For some reason that just isn't racing for me. Maybe us oldies just aren't with it anymore......like you PDD, I'd be happy to see a car race again!

Unfortunately, we have another one coming up this weekend , but I still like Pocono for some reason...........perhaps it's just because it's an odd track.

The talked about fuel mileage right from the start of the pre-race show, with Larry Mac giving demonstrations of the old and new fuel cans and how many MPG they would get on this track.

Fuel mileage is part of the strategy of racing. Pocono is usually a dull race race anyway.

Another fuel mileage race Monday at Chicago. Though I'm happy Jr came in third, not happy about Gordon running out of gas along with several other Chase drivers. Tony barely made it past the finish line to win.

Not a fan of Matt Kenseth...he was doing his normal post race tantrum, but he did have some good points about not being able to race to the finish for the fans. Not sure how NASCAR could fix this. Got to remember that this is a team sport and the correct call of the crew chief, plus the gas man getting all of the fuel in is very important.

Gas mileage races have always been a part of NASCAR. It definately adds more drama to the end of races and adds strategy. Those who have little to risk will go for it while those that dont will not, at least not after this race.

Perhaps it's time for a "mystery" caution with the exact amount of laps left for a full fuel run.
It's not like it's never been done before. At least it will put the racing back in NASCAR

That's what they do for the Clash and the All Star races.

Let's see not happy about Kenseth tantrums but Gordon crying about a deliberate spin last week is OK with you.

So your OK with your guy crying but not OK with another fans guy crying.

Obviously your view of someone whining and someone answering a direct question is a bet skewed.

BTW, Kenesth continued his whining well into the night via Twitter...but doubt you checked your facts before posting.

I have no idea what twitter is.
BTW I like Jeff Gordon so no point in dissing him.
I'm one of those fans that does not cry about other drivers. I just think it's kind of juvenile for adults to act like that.
