Michael Waltrip Racing held a news conference at Kansas today to announce that Clint Bowyer will drive for the team beginning next season. So Bowyer will go from living in Harvick's shadow at RCR to kissing Mikey's butt and running mid-pack or worse at MWR. Brilliant career move, kid.

"Now Clint, when you said I was the worst driver, did you mean of all-time or just this era?" Waltrip asked.
Bowyer just laughed.
"You never know when you are going to have to eat your words," Bowyer said. "But Michael promised me he would be the best owner ever."

I will say MWR has shown more potential than RPM, MPR, PMR, PMS, or whatever in the hell the team name is this week.

How many wins does MWR have this year?

How many of their CC have won the Daytona 500 and the Cup Championship.

Yes RPM was in some financial trouble last year but they have rebounded nicely.

Finally the Roush engines have shown this year to be just as powerful and reliable as the TRD engines.

What potential are you talking about?

MWR has 0 wins, RPM has 1 win.
Neither team has won a cup nor the Daytona 500.
Both teams have one car in the top 20 in points. The other RPM car is in 21st while the other MWR car is a non-factor.

Marcos Ambrose Crew Chief, Todd Parrott has a couple of Daytona 500 wins along with the Brickyard 400 and a Cup Championship with Dale Jarrett.

While these are not Chad Knaus numbers they are certainly more impressive than any of MW Crew Chiefs.

Please explain why you think MWR is a better choice than RPM

If your one of those people who just "hates Fords" then I understand. (I used to be 14 at one time)

Since these are "new" teams I don't count what is past history. Your previous post explained it well and that is stability. RPM has been rocky, too much contraversy (sp?) and instability. My biggest input in this is $$$, MW is a great spokesperson and we all know it takes $$$$$ to run in this sport.
BTW, I don't give a damn what my favorite driver drives as long as he wins. I never bought into the "win on Sunday sell on Monday" BS.
