Dan Wheldon, the former Indianapolis 500 winner was in a tragic accident in the Las Vegas race today and was confirmed dead. Rest in peace Dan, thinking and praying for your family and your soul. Very sad story.

I had heard about the wreck and was looking for video when the news of his death came. I don't follow IndyCar, but this hits hard across the all forms of motorsports. What a shame! RIP sir.

I've been a racing fan for 50+ years, although far less frequently than in years past, some days it just sucks.

RIP Dan, I hope your family finds comfort knowing you lived your dream.
