Going to Martinsville for the first time next week and need parking advise and how early should we arrive. We are coming from Stokesdale only about 30 miles from the track.
Thanks,
PDD

There is a two story house at the back (I think it's the back entrance) of the track. The owner lets people park for a fee; though it's a bit of a hike to the track the ease in leaving is well worth it. I can't tell you the name of the road only that there is a Bojangles/convenient store near the location usually with vendor tents on the property.

We go to the Spring race every year. I meet up with my buddy's from Virginia on the Hwy 58 bypass and we head into the track from the back entrance (Clover Road).

We take that road all the way in past the houses, the campground entrance, and across the railroad tracks. We sometimes pay to park in the lot on the right just past the tracks, OR we'll turn into the left and park up on the hill near the RR tracks before the drivers RV pen.

After the race we cook dinner on the grills and let the crowds go out ahead of us. Then we leisurely leave and get back to the lake area around 9PM or so.

Have a great time! Don't forget the cheer for the Bowtie Brigade!!!

Thanks for the alternate directions.

No longer looking for wins only points. I don't care if the Chevy's finish 1-8 as long as my guys finish 9-10. That will be good enough.

I go to both Martinsville races every year and I'll be there Sunday. I live two hours from the track and I plan on leaving no later than 5:00 to be there by 7:00 at the latest. I've been there at 7:30 before and spent a good hour in traffic. Most of the parking at the house mentioned is gone early. I park at the track where it's free and not that far of a walk. After the race, a couple of steaks on the grill, a cold one and then I drive out with no problem. Enjoy, it's a great track! Go JEFF GORDON!

I'm thinking about taking DS up there on Sunday and scoring some cheap tickets. We'll see how tomorrow goes with the honey-do list.

I don't mind getting to the track a little early but eight hrs. before green is just a little too early for me. I hope to arrive about 11 and find a parking spot.
I got to Charlotte two hrs before green and it was plenty of time to get to our seats.
Not looking to sit through the pre race nonsense.

Thanks for the heads up
