Rick still has a lot of health issues. I'm sure he regretted not being there also. But you can't deny Hendrick power is really dominating again this year. Four HMS powered cars in the top ten (88, 14, 48 and 24). Too bad about the 5, but Kasey struggled with the handling anyway.

I'm just very happy for Dale Jr. He is such a humble guy and I have felt all year that this is going to be his year. He's only 4 points out of 1st place. He is the ONLY driver to finish every lap this season. I chuckle at his naysayers, but Jr. is an excellent race car driver.

Excellent race car drivers don't have 4 years of drought during what is typically their prime.

Bill Elliott didnt win a race from 1995 to 2000. I guess your not Excellent Driver until you have 5 year droughts.

He was past his prime, just like DW and Petty, both who were in a serious drought before they stepped out of the car.
Since an impressive '04 season Jr has been able to only muster 4 wins (incl yesterday) after that ('05-'12) and it's not like he has had sub-par equipment under his butt either.

So would you say that crew chief change has made the difference?
