I can get several different ones under 100$ will be at least me,wife and 2 kids. 5 and 7.I am considering the 65$ ones right up near the fence in the Yarbrough section but not sure...where can I make sure the kids can see the race as well as me?
"Best" is pretty subjective. As a former season ticket holder here is my opinion.
I sat in the Kulwicki section, in the middle of turns 1 and 2, about 25 rows up. You could see the front and back stretch, the cars seemed to dive beneath you, you had a good view of the cars entering and exiting pit road, and there was little to break your sightlines because you get above the chainlink fencing while still being safe. You could see the entire track and barely move your head. You could be looking in front of you but yourr eyes could still catch something on the other end of the track. Keep in mind they go around 500 times, that's a lot of head turning if you sit down low on the straights. For reference, Row 25 in the turns equates to about row 40 on the straights.
You will not want to sit too low, as your view of the turns and opposite straight may be more impeded by things that are in the infield.. Also, if you sit too low or at the end of the straight, the fence poles and fencing actually make it difficult to see the opposite end of the straight. Also, you are much more likely to miss something because the lower you sit the more narrow your perspective is.
On the other hand, if you sit too high, the sense of speed is lost, and to be honest, the "prime" seats with armrests I found to be very uncomfortable, not to mention the beams supporting the suites could get in the way.
So, in my opinion, the "best" would be something in the turns 25-30 rows up. If you want to sit on the straights, go at least 35 rows up somewhere in the middle.. you want to be high enough to get a broad perspective of the track. The cars are fast and a lot goes on....And wherever you sit, BRING EAR PROTECTION...especially for the little ones..
+1000 on the ear protection. You cannot talk to the person sitting next to you even under caution it is so freekin loud.
