Just finished watching Qualifying (which I won't spoil) - eeee, these high torque cars are a handful in the wet.

I do not like the sound (yet) but I love the increased torque.

YES! Holy cow, I was totally yelling at my TV during qualifying lol.

I am trying to get some local friends into it so I've invited them over to watch the race with us tomorrow. I've been posting on facebook about it too and I know I have a few more friends thinking of tuning in. I think this season is going to just be nuts. If the practice and qualifying are any indication tomorrows race should be interesting.

I'm still in shock over some of the results.

I will be amused if the "Anti-Red Bull" rule (or "Anti-Vettel," take your pick) of double points for the last race works in Red Bull's favor after a so-so season start at the first race or two, after which they recover.....

Lol, McLaren at the top of the Constructor's Championship, who would have thunk it?

Hmm, what are the odds that the reason the Safety Car stayed out so many laps is that several of the team went to Charlie and said "we aren't going to make it on fuel"? Completely legit reason for the Safety Car to go out, but no reason for it to stay out more than a couple laps.

Re: NBCSN coverage - watched the race live, which meant sitting through the commercials. Holy heck, Mobil1, PLEASE get rid of that commercial, it was bad enough last year. Ambulance-chasing lawyers and "Guard your manhood"? And the NASCAR commercial, which highlights some of the reasons I DON'T watch NASCAR - crashes, crashes, crashes and temper tantrums.

And Leigh Diffey and the "HUMAN DRAMAR" - the reason I can't watch the Olympics is NBC's smarmy human interest coverage. Hate to see it in F1.

Dang. I really need to find the channel and record F1. I missed the race but read about it. Sounded interesting. Sad to hear it's becoming like every other US sports show and about 'drama'. Meh. Speed coverage was the best, just racing.period.

I love seeing Williams competitive again. The Martini colours are fantastic. Bottas is the real deal. Massa? Well, he's better than Maldonado.

Magnussen is also the real deal. Nice to see McLaren back in the game.

Hey Vettel! How's that finger?

Mercedes is the new Red Bull. Rosberg set the fastest lap of the race on lap 19 of 53... so basically he was just cruising around after that, yet he kept the difference above 20 seconds. Scary.

Even with the DSQ, Red Bull must be relieved.

Ferrari has a lot to improve!

Glad to see McLaren and Williams fielding decent cars.

I was also very impressed by the rookies. Kvyat and Magnussen both drove superbly all weekend long.

I think Mercedes deserve to be in this position for now as they are the most hard working team so far. They also are responsible for the engine performance so I am not surprised by their pace. If Ferrari can improve it will be a great season.

Terrible press coverage on the race. Some even saying it was boring and without change may be day F1 died.
