US Grand Prix coming up this weekend - no Marussia or Caterham, and Force India barely managed to pay off Mercedes, nearly missing the grid as well. Things aren't looking good on that end of the constructor's points. Sauber at 0, Lotus at 8.

So what do you think - fewer teams of back markers a good thing or change the F1 money pay-out structure to encourage the lower tier teams?

Hard to say, judging by the level of excitement shown by the lower teams when they score even one point, the pay-outs might be pretty decent. Who knows for sure? What teams are actually paid seems to be a more closely guarded secret than the nuclear launch codes.

Personally, I'd like to see the cost reduced for all teams, I'd start by eliminating the energy recovery systems. I think it's silly attempting to portray a series that consumes massive amounts of energy running wind tunnels 24/7 and flying tens of thousands of pounds of kit all around the world as 'green' .

I'm looking forward to the extended TV coverage Leigh Diffey spoke of on the last race coverage, but I fear I'm going to miss something as I can't find a complete airing guide. I'm finding the normal practice 2, quali, race, post race schedule but what about the other specials I've heard about? Can anyone help? Thanks!

They should give the most $$$$ to the back markers in reverse order from what is done now.

There is only two cars actually in race with chance to win anyway; what's the problem. Always just two to perhaps four most years. F1 was always about the cars and why the money goes to the manufactures other than paid drivers. It was setup as a manufacturers championship. Why two cars a team only and not more.

An otherwise extremely boring race saved by Daniel Ricciardo's moves and that great 9th to 14th train in the final laps.
