Kind of ironic to see Jacques Villeneuve qualify number 27, eh?

Why? I don't think he's in a top team car and he had never driven the new car. Good to see him back at Indy;regardless.

His Dad Gilles Villeneuve carried the number 27 on his Formula 1 Ferraris including the one he was killed in during qualifying for the GP of Belgium at Zolder in 1982.

Default Stick a fork in Kurt Busch's chances

Crashed coming out of turn 2 in practice today. Team puts the odds of repairing the car at 50/50.

I wonder how many people will be tuning in for this year's 500. That Kurt Busch crash already has nearly 300,000 views. Qualifying scored a 1.2 rating, which is excellent.

I'm looking forward to it. I went to a movie theater to see the first closed circuit TV broadcast of the 500 in 1964, don't believe I've missed many if any at all since.

Things are changing, sure. And crowds are diminishing, it seems. But things do change. I'm sure the first 500 probably was run very differently from when I went back in 1989. But '89 was still amazing. I just love the track.

I'm looking forward to this year's race.

I hardly ever really watch Indy car but I will be glued to the set to see the Indy 500. I miss a lot of the old specials at the race but its still by far the biggest single race in USA. Really not much different than past when a lot never raced but the Indy 500. Anyone who doesn't appreciate going those speeds into a turn doesn't like oval racing;IMO. Teams spend a month prepping for the race because of the way it once was.

Some really awful coverage last 10 laps, split screen to wives?! Seriously. Only interesting part of a dull race and the coverage is a split screen. Wow.
