I'm not imply 1 vs 4. The owners would have to make some changes to become 3 or 4 drivers only. Because every team would have to have the same amount of drivers. And the owners who don't have as many drivers would have to join another owner's team. And once owners have teams, more money would be equally dispersed amongst its drivers.

I realize Hendrick, even Fenway would dominate team play. But those two owners are dominating anyways. And all this would do is to compel the interests of other owners and potential owners to invest more in their drivers in hopes of creating a more balanced team play within NASCAR. In gradually creating a more equal playing field.

Other series have constructors/teams/whatever championships. Nobody cares. No one can remember which team won it in any particular year. None of that happens with drivers championships.

Conclusion: team championships are good for nothing.

OTHER SERIES. Nobody cares about other series. NASCAR is different. A whole lot different.

Why bother? Self-congratulatory non-sense. No one cares if a team wins anything in NASCAR. It's not a team sport. These are individual contractors working under the same brand and that's about it. F1 team stuff is fairly pointless to everyone except the owners and lead to some fairly shady race decisions that NASCAR does NOT need.

Will make pitstops waaaay more interesting. Like Keystone Cops. Will make racing like it use to be. Interesting.
name one team that has five team cars.

team championships ?

a solution to a non-existing problem that would draw ZERO interest except for the few team owners.

The "existing problem" is that about 75-80% of drivers have absolutely nothing to really race for come chase time. And near the end of the chase, about 95% of drivers have nothing to really race for. But incorporating a team victory/championship point system will always give every driver in the field something to race for. Allowing fans of every driver to continually watch in support of them.

Really? How about this $$$$$ Ask any driver in a lower series than NASCAR if he would like to drive for a cup team but there is no chance for a championship ring.

What about the 75-80 % of baseball or football players who don't have a chance of a championship, do they stop playing if they are out of the hunt?

You seem to be the only person who thinks a team championship is a good idea.

Your talking about an "existing problem" when there really isn't one.

No. Team such as F1 only pays the teams in reward. NASCAR is fine and offers more to startup teams by what they have now; not big teams take all.
