Martinsville is a drivers track, so if she's up front it shows she has improved. Yes if you stay out-of-trouble you do better but to be anywhere near the front you need to be a good driver.

in point of fact she did miss a spinning paul menard this time, where as last year she would have t boned him and put herself out of the race.

It takes three things to have a good day in NASCAR (running near the front) good car, good driver, good luck. Yesterday Danica had two of the three. Jimmy Johnson only had one of them, the one Danica was missing.

A lot of buzz in the garage area the past couple weeks about teams doctoring tires. Looks like Newman's team got caught and spanked hard by NASCAR for driling small holes in the tires to allow air to bleed out during a run.

Ryan Newman docked 75 points, crew chief suspended six races for doctoring tires

Not quite sure of what to think about this....................while going against the rules is considered cheating and should be penalized..........................have we got to the point where they are requiring these cars to be identical in every way with the rule book?

These cars are already getting fragile enough, but it seems NASCAR is continually squeezing what little window of opportunity these teams have for a little good old fashioned ingenuity.

To me all the money spent on electronics on pit road is making the race too clinical....a little mischief or slick maneuvering makes the race a bit more interesting.

there is still plenty of room in the rule book for a creative crew chief to make adjustments, change parts, etc to gain an advantage, however small it may be.

but dont forget that even if all the cars were built identically, there would still be enough differences that require the teams to chase adjustments to suit the driver, and the track, as well as the weather conditions.

It won't. She's a bad driver in a great ride.
