Honestly since the chase concept started I've stopped watching the last few races. Rather watch a football game or go outside. Homestead as a finish is terrible either way.

Any chance Happy Harvick pulls out a miracle over the next two races or is he kaput?

Instead of being mad at Johnson, all Harvick needed to do was to bring his car into the pits, get some new rubber and the lucky dog. But, he had to be stubborn....

He's fully capable of winning, and that's all it takes.

Bowyer.. Stick the fork in him.. He's done with the penalty. He's shown no ability to run up front and compete for a win.. With the 25 point penalty.. It's over for him.

two races and a 52 point deficit? that is a big a real problem that can be made up as long as bowyer runs up front, and much of the rest of the chase field has problems. even harvick will have a problem being 43 points down. those two have to win in the next two races to move forward. harvick has shown that he can win races, bowyer not so much.

What we've all been expecting was announced today.. FRR will move to Toyota to be their #2 team next year. I suspect we'll see a dropoff in performance for 2016 with a nice rebound in 2017. Simply due to learning the new car.

And, another expected announcement coming this week.. Stewart to retire after 2016, Bowyer to take over the #14.. Bowyer goes to #51 HScott team with 5 Hour Energy for 2016... Apparently leaves Allgaier on the outside looking in.

I don't understand the chances Harvick has been taking. Really the blame is on his crew chief for not calling him in after the tire rub last week and then taking a chance on fuel this week. There was no way he was going to make it to the end since the crew chief didn't tell Not so Happy Harvick to save fuel until it was too late.

I think Harvick (and Kyle Busch) still have a chance since they have been so good all year. Truex, Gordon, McMurray and Junior all have to be very nervous.

Stick a fork in Harvick. What a baby. Sure it sucks his crew chief screwed up but man-up and talk to the fans/TV. That's his job - well part of it. If you can be there when winning show some class and be there when losing. That's always bothered me. =p Anyway, it was a terrible decision by the CC. Yes a win puts you into the next stage guaranteed but if you miss it you are doomed. Simply makes no sense to gamble 2 races in - even given their position in the standings.

The fuel mileage stuff makes the finish interesting but the race was fairly boring. Empty stands again. Not digging the NBC crew. Burton is okay but needs better booth mates. I'd dump them all honestly and start over.
