I don't know, I'll just have to see how the cars of boredom level out. I'm not thrilled with the new car as you can tell. I think the 500 should be interesting.

Jimmy Johnson---This team just has got it all together. He's not my favorite but it is what it is!! Personally I'm getting a bit bored with the whole thing--it just isn't the same anymore!!

As an "old timer" I view NASCAR as other pro sports. I had my favorites, but they are now retiring and NASCAR moves on. (same thing with baseball)
I would get really "into it" when Mark Martin was driving the "6" , Dale Jarrett the "88" and I always rooted for Johnny Benson cuz he seemed like a "class act"
But, NASCAR moves on with younger drivers who are terrific drivers.

Good news Roaddog! Kern County's new home to NASCAR will offer some relief from those "cars of boredom" after it opens later this year (probably around June, according to the last report). They will be hosting other races besides just NASCAR, too. I'm really looking forward to when the SRL Southwest Tour gets there later this year.
Back to the original topic: with so many great drivers and teams, it will be difficult to pick someone to win the cup at this time.

I'm going with big brother Kurt Busch this year. He was very competitive last year but had a lot of bad luck. EW
