Plucky Teen Verstappen @ Red Bull! Wow, are these guys ruthless or what? Kvyat was just in the podium in China!
Anyway, I think it's a move to secure Verstappen long term, remember that Rosberg and Raikkonen won't have a contract at the end of the year, and they really won't want to lose him to Merc or Ferrari. With the new 2017 rules they will probably have a winning car again and giving him a year practice vs Ricciardo in the main team will be good for him.
Yes, it's unfair to Daniil, byt the prospect of a Ricciardo vs Verstappen duel in equal machinery is amazing!
Turned out to be a smart move to put Verstappen in the driverseat.
Would love to have heard the conversation in the Mercedes locker room after the race.

Like the commentators mentioned, if Adrian Newey starts tailoring the car to suit Max, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Max equal Vettel's success at Red Bull. And aren't they due for an engine update soon?

Not sure how Lauda could say
Spoiler
Hamilton was at fault - stewards of the meet decided it was a "that's racing" incident, but the (endless) replays show Rosberg driving Hamilton onto the grass. Sure Hamilton wasn't ahead, but they weren't in the corner yet, either. The "rules" about who has the corner are only true when you are at the corner, not racing for the corner.
Hamilton was going fast enough to pass Rosberg before the corner and was halfway past him when Rosberg had a brain cramp and thought running his team mate off the road was a good idea.

Completely Rosberg's fault. He selected the wrong mode after the launch. So he messed up twice. First with the selection and then pulling a Schumacher and running his competitor blatantly off the road.
This was the first time this year that Lewis has had a chance at Rosberg. Predictably Britney bottled it.
As for Mercedes, Lauda needs a glass of shut up juice. Lewis is a racer. If he senses even the slightest sign of weakness, he's going for it. Lauda's the one who moved heaven and earth to get Lewis away from McLaren. Because he knew that in order for Mercedes to be successful they needed a racer. Britney is a good driver, in the Damon Hill mode. But can't race his way out of a wet paper bag.
Yeah Rosberg blocked Hamilton into the grass. To me that's a racing incident and everyone moves on. Hamilton had a run and the speed to pass and Rosberg took his line which you get in racing. Just unfortunate for Hamilton he ran out of pavement. The prudent move would be to get out of the throttle once Rosberg started moving into the line but no good racer is doing that.

No. Watch the replay - Rosberg starts moving over to the right almost simultaneously with Hamilton and by the time Hamilton runs out of road, he is, at best, front wheels to Rosberg's rear wheels, which is NOT the criteria for owning that particular corner. Dumb move all around.

He may be a racer but not a smart one. You want to talk Damon Hill, Lewis going for the needle's ear was like Hill going for JUST THAT CORNER in Adelaide '94. Both could have pulled off much lower-risk moves, both bottled it. Rosberg might shoulder more than half of the blame for the Barcelona incident but Lewis isn't blameless, either.
