exactly right. remember this, ford is going to get their day in the sun again, someone(team) is going to figure out what the fords need and step up and make it work. remember the 80s? bill elliot and company stepped up, and when they did, the other ford teams also stepped up and ford became fairly dominate during that time, to the point the chevy and other gm guys were complaining about the fords.

now toyota has stepped up and is showing dominance. that will at some point come to an end when another manufacturer steps up. who will it be? perhaps chrysler will get back into the game? who knows.

Early on I was keeping track and they aired commercials every eight laps. Rick Allen saying they would break in from commercials if a wreck occurred was pretty ridiculous as well. I wish they would replace all of their announcers. It was a mistake picking Jeff burton over Dale Jarret.

Pretty sure Ford figured that out and the next step is next year replacing four Chevy's with four Fords at Stuart/Haas.

BTW another win today at Watkins Glen in GT LeMans against the BMW's and the Corvettes.

Exactly. Ford has it figured out, but they only have Penske that can consistently have the right setup each weekend. And as you said they are outnumbered. I wouldn't be surprised if 2017 is the year of Ford in NASCAR. It looks like Roush is finally making some gains as well.

All manufactures have their day, all of them. It's cyclical. The way it goes and nothing wrong with that. It's healthy for the sport.

As to the coverage, it was hilarious when the announcer said 'we'll cut back if there is a crash'. lol Way to out what plate races really are, wrecks for the idiots that like wrecks not racing. I did note that towards the end he modified that to 'if anything happens', then at the end when something did happen they stayed in commercial forever. NBC is a clown show.

Dale Jr. to miss the race this weekend due to concussion like symptoms. Alex Bowman will replace him.

And, I called this one somewhere in this or another topic.. If Hendrick needed a replacement driver.. They've got Bowman in the car this weekend, but if he's still out when Indy comes around, Gordon is driving..

Why not give Elliott Sadler another shot, Gordon doesn't need the money?

Gordon could actually win, plus the press coverage will be huge. No brainer but I'm sure Jr will be back.
