Won't miss Bernie, a bit of clown, but he did build things up I suppose - definitely with an iron fist and closed mind. Anyhoo, I hope we get better coverage options. Less celebrity fawning and pandering and more pure racing. I'll hold my breath on that one. haha

Bernie is 86 years old and it is time for him to step down.

But he did make F1 what it is today.

I am more than old enough to remember what it was like when he became dictator - a disorganized mess - and many people, Stirling Moss included, said it needed a dictator to survive.

40 years ago when Bernie became dictator F1 was worth almost nothing.

It just sold for 8 billion dollars. Formula 1 sold to Liberty Media Group for US$8 billion

And he made many others filthy rich along the way.

Bernie must have done something right.

What do you expect the standings will be after this season?

I think its 99% sure that Hamilton, Verstappen, Ricciardo, Vettel and Raikkonen will finish in the top 5 but in what order, i have no idea yet.

My bold prediction would be:
Battle for Number 1: Hamilton vs. Verstappen
3.Ricciardo
4.Vettel
5.Raikkonen
6.Bottas

I think Red Bull will win in the constructors standings with Mercedes and Ferrari fighting for number 2.

I am enjoying the post-Ecclestone era. It seems to be a lot more content on YouTube and social media.

1. Hamilton
2. Vettel
3. Bottas
4. Ricciardo
5. Verstappen

VET

BOT

Midfield looks super tight... so who knows after that... maybe MAS HUL PER OCO

No way Bottas will end above the Red Bulls.

It's all in the cars...who the driver is incidental. They lost me long ago. Not enough real competition.

I think so, as he has a better car. The Mercedes engine is superior to the rebranded Renault.

If the Ferrari is as good in race trim as it's appeared in testing I expect a rejuvenated Kimi to make a serious run at the championship.
