ESPN secures U.S. Formula One rights from 2018

I really hope they get a good commentary team together for this. David Hobbs seemed to imply on his Twitter that this means he won't be doing TV anymore after this season. Really sad to see him go, he's been around for so long.

ESPN's coverage of racing used to be so great. They took it seriously and gave it tons of attention. Seeing how bad their NASCAR coverage was compared to what it had been in the 90s, I can't say that I've got high hopes.

Please tell me Eddie Cheever won't be part of this...

Thankfully Leigh Diffey is staying with NBC and won't be part of the broadcast team. I wonder if it'll be someone like Bob Varsha doing lead.

I wish they'd also pick up MotoGP, I haven't been able to find it avaiable locally anywhere and it usually has some great racing.

I've been downloading MotoGP torrents and I don't feel I've been stealing because there is no other way for me to watch.

The racing has been great. Much better than F1.

Now that they won't have F1 I'm hoping that NBC will pick it up.

I wish somebody would, I think anyone who loves racing would be dazzled by MotoGP.

They are going to use the international feed.

Yeah MotoGP is some amazing stuff. Need WindTunnel back so we can at least have some highlights on TV. Not sure how I feel about an international feed. Depends on who I guess.

ESPN will be even worse than NBC... At least NBC was half-decent when they weren't showing ads.

I'll stay with my UK VPN and Sky Go subscription.
