good race overall. all 50 cars were running at the end. in the class i was paying attention to was the GTLM class where the ford GTs from chip ganassi racing finished 1-2 in class and 11-12 overall, i was hoping they would, and the corvettes of corvette racing finished 3-4 in class and 13-14 overall, nice run for them also. here are the full results for your perusal;

Also a first time win for Lamborghini in GTD!

The field was exceptional. Alonso/Norris in the #23 (Norris was amazing), Lance Stroll, multiple Indy Car champions... glad to see Daytona getting more attention.

imo the rolex 24 should be getting far more attention than it does, since it kicks off not only speed weeks, but the racing season as a whole.

This is why I miss speed channel. This would have gotten some coverage along with speed week.

Driving back from Florida I saw several dirty car carrier trailers headed north with sad looking people driving. Must have been early departures. Didn't even think of the 24 until your heads up. Thanks.

There is some really great racing in SCCA, and as pro series seem to gather more hoopla ll the time with what blingy celebs they can show off on camera and how many products can they shill for, 'amateur' racing becomes more attractive all the time.

The first F1 race I ever attended I was too young to have a license and had to talk my parents into going, it was so different back then (1966), you could walk through the paddock and into the garage to watch the mechanics work, I remember being like a foot away from Jack Brabham driving thru the infield, and the cars wore national colors and no advertising at all.
