While they've no doubt made huge gains in their performance level this season it seems BMW/Sauber may still be just a few percentage ponts away from being serious challengers on every track in all conditions.

Given the between races development in F1 the rest of the season should be very interesting.
That's what I heard that they have been put back 10 places in France so that sucks for Hamiliton also gives an advantage for Kubica he could take an even bigger lead in points it will be interesting.

I wouldn't be surprised if BMW were up with the performance towards the end of the season I hope so anyway BMW should be up with the 2 big ones.

So its an all Ferrari start tomorrow not that I'm surprised as they have dominated the French circuit for the last few yrs and more than likely will be first and second with Massa and Raikonnen battling it out for the pole, but I'm surprised how bad BMW were in qualifying Red Bull made them look slow should be an interesting race.

I'd guess there's some truth in the commentators' statements that the BMW/Sauber is very unforgiving with regard to set-up. it will be interesting to see if Hamilton has matured enough to drive wisely and not try to force something that isn't there.

The British GP last weekend was more fun to watch than any race in the dry. Really looked like amateur hour out there and more so in the GP2 race. These guys need to get an old Formula Ford with worn out rain tires and do some ice racing.

AGREE he is shocking in rain thats his downfall, Masa has a lot to prove to the critics as he is the known as "the other Ferrari driver" he had problems that were out of his hands on qualifying but he went backwards in the race he should have scored at least some points.

How many of those critics have led the driver's championship?

He's still a really good driver as long as it's dry out. We're just saying that Ayrton Senna would've mopped him up last weekend.

That's not what I'm getting at I think Massa is a good driver and some tracks such as the Brazil track no-one can touch him on but Massa has weak spots that are big and he had a bad start this season and from the disaster from last season he was always in tream mates Raikkonen's shadow that's why he was known as "the other Ferrari driver" he has turned it around this season after a bad start but still cant seem to perform in rain just look back at Monaco when it started raining he couldn't keep the car straight and couldnt keep the speed of the rest of the field.

I think Senna would've left Hamilton in his wake too.

I just think it's comical how Massa's bad day has people talking like he's not worthy of a GP2 ride while Hamilton's mistakes last year virtually gave away a championship and I don't think wiping another car out in pit lane was exacly the mark of a thinking driver either yet he's still apparently considered by many as the greatest since Nuvolari.

Schumi won a title in a car that was clearly not the cream of the crop, Hamilton has as many titles as Massa so I'm not quite ready to call him one of the all time greats yet.
