Toyota NASCAR Engines
NASCAR is ordering all Nationwide Series teams using Toyota motors to squeeze down their horsepower before this weekend's race in Indianapolis.

Let's see the Roush/Fenway #16 & 17 cars make more HP than the JGR #20. The JGR #20 has won 9 races. lets slow it down to equalize the driver talent.

I am all for this. I think it will be great for the series. It has lost my interest in the last few months because of being the "Gibbs Show." Now what about the Cup series? Any word on changes in the Toyota's there?

I've haven't seen anything as it relates to the Sprint Cup series, but it does send a pretty strong message to those teams too, don't you think?

NASCAR issued a technical bulletin Tuesday night requiring all engines with a cylinder bore spacing more than 4.470 inches to use tapered spacers with smaller holes. The change is expected to sap the engine of about 15 horsepower. Although the bulletin did not name Toyota specifically, Toyota's engine is the only one that fit the criteria.

Right, punish teams for doing their homework and making HP! That ain't racing in my book, it's more akin to professional wrestling.

I thought Toyo was handing out free Saki because there was so darned much WINE-ing (whining) going on in their camp yesterday.
Nascar should just give the darned trophy to Toyo since they're just trying to buy the thing anyway.

How long before they start penalizing drivers for taking a good line and going faster than anyone else?
