WoO races in Charlotte
I'm heading to the WoO races in Charlotte at the end of the month. Anybody else going? We're camping right behind the dirt track.

Thanks for posting. I forgot all about the WoO race. I'll have to check the LMS website for details and check my race pals to see who's gonna' come down.

It should be a great time. Along with our tickets, we got pit passes for all 3 days. I'm looking forward to checking out the Late Models up close.

Thanks. It's been a while since I've been to a dirt track myself. I think the last time was the WoO Nationals in Knoxville a few years ago. And this will be my first time at the dirt track in Charlotte. Hopefully it's as nice as I hear it is.

I went last year, here is a sort of feel good story. I took my my wheel chair bound 11 year old son to see the show last year, his Muscular Dystrophy is devastating to say the least.
We rode the elevator up to handicap section, and one of Jason Meyers big dogs who must have been connected with sponsership or ownership rode along with us. He talked up the raceing with my son and was very nice.
About halfway through the event he located us in the handicapped section and he had all kind of Meyers goodies for my little Brandon. A couple of caps, and nice tee shirts, really a very kind gesture.

I'm a big fan of dirt track racing, and my wife and I drove by both Charlotte tracks on vacation this year. I was more excited about the dirt track!
They have to keep the track tacky due to dust concerns,so the racing is fast and furious from what I understand.

I am not 100 % sure but I think they bought in all new dirt last year, they did'nt have dust problems during the Saturday night show.

All Sprint Car racing needs is all those Cup fans to discover it. No form of motorsports is more exciting IMO.....Now go check out your local dirt track......
