Marcus Ambrose. He's from Tasmania, which, despite what Tasmaniacs will tell you, is still officially part of Oddstralia.
That's the closest I get I'm afraid.

Hang on, we're talking about motorsport generally, not just NASCAR right? In that case, I forgot about Mark "Potsie" Webber, Australia's answer to Michael Schumacher.

My hometown driver is M. K. Kanke, who is currently running the SRL Southwest Tour. He's won both races so far this season!!!
Other drivers from nearby areas include Kevin Callahan and Brennan Newberry (also in the SRL SWT), Mike Duncan (NASCAR West Series), Kevin Harvick and Casey Mears (NASCAR Sprint Cup), Rick Mears (IRL and CART), and Roger Mears (Off road racer, NASCAR Craftsman Trucks, CART, etc.). These drivers are all from Bakersfield, CA.
Greg Pursley (NASCAR West Series) is from Sun Valley, CA, where I grew up.
Keith Spangler from Chatsworth, CA (NASCAR West Series and SRL SWT) and Ron Hornaday, Jr. from Palmdale, CA (NASCAR Camping World Truck Series) both used to race at what used to be my local track, Saugus Speedway.

David is doing all right this year staying in the top 12 and I think he'll get his first win in 09.

Closest NASCAR driver is Sam Hornish Jr from Defiance, Ohio. But we have 2 IRL drivers from Columbus. Graham Rahal and Sarah Fisher. Rahal Letterman Racing is located in Hilliard and ThorSport is located up in Sandusky.

I've seen Sarah Fisher drive in some NASCAR races in the AutoZone (now Camping World) West Series a few years ago, so she could also be counted as a NASCAR driver. I believe she was a part of the Richard Childress Racing driver development program.
