Default Who's your hometown driver?

The driver closest to my hometown is David Ruetimann about 45 miles away from Clearwater,FL he's from Zephryhills, FL. I've seen David's Uncle Wayne win many sprint car and late model races at tracks all over FL.

My dad raced against David's grandfather, Emil Ruetimann back in the 40's. Emil was killed in a head on collision towing his race car home after a race many years ago.

David is doing all right this year staying in the top 12 and I think he'll get his first win in 09.

Robby Gordon, my hometown of Cerritos, CA.

Lived in Yorba Linda, CA for 15 years with DH, home of none other than John Force.

Our autoshop teacher at my high school was NHRA driver Gary Densham.

Closest to our Tennessee home is Sterling Marlin and Darrell Waltrip. In FL, it used to be Mark Martin when he claimed Spruce Creek as home. Of course, we all know he now refers to Batesville as home.

I used to watch Ray Evernham race modifieds on the Jersey Shore when I was younger.

The current local driver from my hometown is Martin Truex, Jr. (I used to watch his elders race as well!)

Now that we live off Lake Norman, we have lots of drivers and racing celeb's in our town.

Close enough to be hometown, Fenton, Mo. about 20 minutes from me. Rusty and his brothers, Kenny, and Mike, and of course Kenny Schrader, and then it's Carl Edwards from about 100 miles from me. Yeah, I think Missouri has suplied some great NASCAR drivers! The boys from Joplin and KC too!

And very nice to speak with too! I bought serveral cars from them about 8 years ago to redo from thier Fathers yard. (Unser & Central, but I think it's gone now?)The thing that I really liked was the Child Developement Center!!! You want ironic? One of the cars I redid was sold to a guy that lives less than 2 miles from the yard!!!! And he had been looking for that type car for over 20 years!!! I told him it had to come to Missouri for the restoration so he could enjoy the drive back home with it.
