Default David Poole is silenced

The racing world and NASCAR is particular today lost a professional reporter who's views were sincere if not provocative. However, he always gave the caller, racer, fellow media person a fair shake. Condolences to Katy, his 3 children and Eli.

I used to listen to him everyday on The Morning Drive. He was a great reporter. Thanks for the info.

David was a friend of my father's long ago when he used to write for our city newspaper, The Gaston Gazette. Back then, NASCAR had not gone through the massive growth it has seen in the past 10 years, so about the best thing to write about was the city rivalry between Hunter Huss and Ashbrook.

I hope it is heartwarming for his family and friends to know he was so well respected and liked in his professional and personal life.
