Well what can I say about Kyle. He is self-destructing right before our eyes.
Kyle thinks it's so cool to wear the black hat in NASCAR, but he doesn't have strong enough shoulders to keep that hat on his head!
That pre-race interview was telling. The boy has a big chip on his shoulder. Of course we all knew that though, didn't we.
Heck yeah, the boy is chock full of talent. I love to watch him race. But for the sake of his sponsor, owner and team, he needs to chill a bit, get on the wheel and get back into the Chase.
He can still be agressive and go for the win. But sometimes taking a top 5 will have to do.
I don't think he'll stay out of the chase, Pocono and Michigan aren't his best tracks but the others like Atlanta, Bristol, Richmond are places he has won at.

75 pts! Sh*t ... 4 of the 6 tracks left are decent, he just needs top 15 from Mich & Pocono (stay out and lead a lap). Will have to win 1 of the 6 races. Every points gonna matter.
Hey Xlabel, no hard feelings eh? Thanks for the new thread

Here are the final races leading to the Chase. I can see Kyle doing well at Watkins Glenn and Bristol. Other than Pocono, the rest are a toss up.
The problem is that the guys right in front of Kyle also do well at the following races, so Kyle has one heck of a fight on his hand.
Aug. 2 Sunoco Red Cross Pennsylvania 500 Pocono
Aug. 9 Centurion Boats at The Glen Watkins Glenn
Aug. 16 3M Performance 400 Michigan
Aug. 22 Sharpie 500 Bristol
Sept. 6 Pep Boys Auto 500 Atlanta
Sept. 12 Chevy Rock and Roll 400 Richmond
75 pts! Sh*t ... 4 of the 6 tracks left are decent, he just needs top 15 from Mich & Pocono (stay out and lead a lap). Will have to win 1 of the 6 races. Every points gonna matter.

I was proud of him for his last 2 or 3 interviews. Seems to be more under control, maybe the xanax is paying off?
A 2nd place @ Daytona is looking like it "may" be the difference between IN or OUT...
