Default Stupid things on tv during NASCAR race

I just can't figure out that-----"vote for the fastest pit crew "

Every pit stop is timed, so what the heck is there to " vote " about ?

It just shows how pathetic NASCAR has stooped in its feeble attempt to get fans more involved.

Heck, why run the race ?

Let the fans vote on who won the race ( sarc)

I see that as a pathetic attempt to keep the JR fans more involved.

I can't stand the "full throttle" thing ESPN does. Right after some restarts they air the scanning of like 20 different radios, "clear, clear, clear, outside, outside, outside", it's just annoying as hell.

I never got that. The 88 crew has consistently been a mid pack performer at best yet they could win this thing.

i do the vote for fastest pit crew. Top four no lie GORDON, DALE JR., STEWART, AND KENSETH. its a popularity contest. JR. Fricken Jr. easnt even in contention to try to get into the Chase, and he's 2nd. The vote is a joke. I always vote for Mark. He's actually won races this year.

oh2az2id is on a distinguished road
There are so many things that annoy me about nascar, why do I even watch.
How about the "thru the field" or what ever its called. Its always the same, so and so is tight in loose off he will take 1/32th of a pound out of the right rear on his next stop, 2nd place is tight in and loose in the middle and tight off, he will take half a turn on his mojo next stop, 3rd place is..oh god just shot me.

Or about half way through a race they start talking fuel mileage. so and so is going to try and make it on one more stop, he will have to save 4 laps and we are going to remind you viewers about 50 times before they race is over just in case you have short term memory lose.

What I don't like about watching the races on TV is the fact that they only show me what they want to show me, not what I would prefer to see. I would rather watch a race live and be able to keep an eye on whatever interests me, including my favorite driver, whether or not he's leading the race. Most of the races I watch are short track races (not necessarily NASCAR), and they're not shown on TV too often, so I usually have to watch them in person, if I'm going to see them at all.

Even when they show the running order on the screen, it usually changes to some other display just about the time I try to check it, so I miss the last half of the field, or some such scenario. I know they are trying to cover all the bases, but I just find it hard to watch most of the time.

Don't feel too bad; the same thing is going on with all other sports, too. It's what we get when sports coverage is managed by professional office people, rather than actual sports fans. The operative phrase is "Lowest Common Denominator," and it will take at least a miracle and a half before any television network does anything about it.

The only real solution is not to watch any sports on TV at all. But, yeah, I know how unrealistic a goal that is.

JR Gets the vote when he "actually" finds his pit ... Those votes count double, hence why he's in 2nd

DirecTV, Hotpass. They have random drivers every week and the camera's focus on them 100% of the time. Even during commercials. You always know where your driver stands and the place of all the others. Its pretty cool
