Danica to sign with JR Motorsports (speeding, driver, race car, nascar)

According to ESPN NASCAR Now, Danica is poised to sign a 2 year agreement with Dale Jr's Team.

She will start with the ARCA race in Daytona, with the hope to also race in the Nationwide Series at Daytona if NASCAR approves.

She'll race 12-14 races per season.

Personally, I don't think she'll do very good by racing in both series. Even if she gave NASCAR her full attention, she probably won't be competitive for at least 2 years.

But just having her in a stock car should bring more eyeballs to NASCAR.

If Michael Waltrip can race full time in NASCAR's highest level (after decades of being the worst driver) why shouldn't a new driver with good Indy car experience not get a chance in the second tier of the sport?

The open wheel invasion just keeps coming. Jarno Trulli and Mika Salo will both be testing MWR cup cars in December. Definitely not a good ol boy sport anymore.
