I'd like to sell my GMC Sierra pick up because my dog can no longer get in it and for other reasons, it just isn't suiting my life right now. The problem is, I can't find how to nail down the value of it. Does anyone here know how I can do that? I was given a couple of sites to check, but they don't have my truck as a listed option to choose for pricing!
I have a 2004 automatic V8 SLE Sierra 2500. It has 4 doors (extended cab) and also a full 8' bed. It just rolled to 70k in mileage. It's a great truck, but it just isn't working for my lifestyle at this point.
Any help on determining value would be greatly appreciated. I'd like to list it in Craigslist, etc.
Thanks ThriftyLefty. Mine has an 8' bed behind the extended cab and I can't find any models or pricing for it. How would I determine how much more to ask for the full sized bed? Any ideas?
It's not an HD. It's a V8 automatic. How much would you guess that would lower its value?
Still is probably a Heavy-Duty, it doesn't necessarily mean the truck has a diesel engine though. Heavy Duty just implies a more strengthened version of a light truck.
As I said before, having a gasser in a 3/4 ton truck is a bit of a drawback, many people buying used 3/4 tons like to have diesels because of the engine life as well as the towing capability.
Check edmonds.com. But i warn you that likely full size trucks ar4e gewtting the price they were because of the deals on new ones especailly startig in july.
I'm not sure. I inherited this truck from my dad in 05 when he passed away. Is there a way for me to find this info out through the VIN#? I know it has a 30 gallon gas tank. Not sure that tells you anything though.
